Are You Really Happy with Where You Are in Your Life?

The question sounds very simple and innocent. Immediately, the response that comes to one’s mind is – ‘Of course, I am happy! Why shouldn’t I be.’ But (and I take the liberty of saying this), most of us would agree that this is more of a reassurance we give ourselves, the factual verity of which is subject to debate. It is a highly-loaded question and the deep introspection which the question necessitates is often overlooked by us in our quest for professional and personal glories. While asking this question to oneself at a daily level might not be realistic, but doing so at different check-points in our careers (and our lives) is imperative as it will help us analyse whether or not we are moving ahead in the right direction. The travesty – more often than not, we skip multiple check-points for different reasons, only to later realise that where we are isn’t where we wanted ourselves to be.

 

Have We Lost The Ability To Laugh At Ourselves?

The only way to survive is to have a sense of humour. And judging by the recent trends, it seems that our society seems to be hell bent on ensuring its extinction having lost the humour bone from its body.

 

A Bolt From The Blue – Changing The Perspective About Life!

10:00 am, 31st Aug’14

Me: Big brother! What’s up? How are you doing?
Brother: Running high fever, around 102F
Me (trying to play cool): Take medicine and go to sleep. You should be as good as new when you wake up.

9:00 pm, 31st Aug’14

Me: How is your fever now?
Brother: It is still around 101F. I am planning on getting admitted to the hospital.
Me: Ya, I think you should do that.

 

What’s Your Purpose?

Sitting in my room I often ponder

Looking back at my life, I sometimes wonder,

What is the cause of my existence?

Why does the world need my presence?

 

I Don’t Want

I don’t want my planet to be what it is –

With all the pollution and the global warming,

With  the extinct species and  the trees that are falling.

With all the dwindling habitat and receding  glaciers,

With  the natural calamities  and a future full of fears.
